so i honestly can't tell if i am bipolar or a borderline. and they're so commonly misdiagnosed.

i dunno what to do but it's really interfering with my life and others lives. i'm not seeing a therapist and haven't gone to my psychiatrist in months. not that i really talk to him when i do.

i checked out almost all the things listed to diagnose borderline in this one book for people living with those with borderline personality disorder.

can anyone help?

" Return that bastard book to the library...

Don't try to diagnose yourself. That's like, shattering some bones or getting your organs smushed. You wouldn't be able to identify or make very good conclusions or a self diagnostic, you'd go to the doctor...

If you want to be able to give your next psych a bunch of good examples of yourself so s/he can help... Do some mood charts, journal, and talking about the stuff you don't want to talk to anybody about.

I know doctors are hard to trust. They can be very upsetting and seem totally out of their own minds. I think that happens way too much. But you'll find one. That person's gotta be out there, it just takes extreme effort for people like us.

I have a hard time calling in the first place. Then the time it takes to make it to the appointment. Once I'm there, I draw a total blank on my issues and questions, I'm just too anxious to do much other than nod and answer questions weakly. And once I get what I need, I'll stop taking my pills suddenly, or never take them in the first place.

It's rough. But it's got to be done. My number one rule right now is to take care of myself. If that means getting medicated, so be it...

Sorry... To answer your question, I don't think anyone can help you unless you go through classic procedures.

Lame answer. *shrugs* "
