Well, this morning I woke up and went online to check my bank account and found that Social Security has deposited my back pay in my checking account.
I was never told whether I am approved or rejected after I applied! They did take longer than the 3 months and by me calling it got my case out of the dust bin. This was my first time applying and I didn't have an attorney and it looks like I've been approved. I have no idea what my monthly benefits are and how the heck they got to do an automatic deposit into my account? Has this happened to anyone else? Posted on 11/10/09, 02:11 pm |

stands up and applauds......but please don't spend it all unless you have to the next deposit may not come for a while it can sometimes take a few months for things to settle in

Yes this happened to me. I got money in my account one day before I received all the paperwork in the mail. Maybe wait a day or two to see if you receive your award letter. I know what a pain it is to call them. but you may need to touch base if you don't get it by then.

I got mine today too :-) First stop was to go get all my prescriptions filled YEEEEYYYYYEEYYYY! YEEHAAAA!
Second stop was the tat parlour. I got me 2 new piercings and they are working on some new tats for me.

I applied 7 months ago, they said it would only take 60 -120 days well after seeing both disiability doctors in august and still hadn't heard, I got on the phone last tuesday, got ahold of the right person, by wensday I found out I had been aproved in september, but had fallen between the cracks, Good thing I'd called or I could have waited forever, by friday my backpay was deposited, I got approved on the first try also without a lawyer

jeez..and here I am over a year and a half, and still nothing to show for it!!?? Oh well, when I do get it, they are gonna owe me BIG time

yeah I have no paper work. I don't know what my benefits are? bimonthly, monthly, how much etc...? But I just about hit the floor this morning when I logged on to my account, had to take a double look to make sure I wasn't "seeing things" lol
Being BP I got happy and about 20 min later I felt very depressed!!! The thoughts came that what now?... I'm unmotivated and tired of struggling to live and work. I can't focus and am too impatient to go shopping!!! I feel crazy!! :-D
