got pets? What are they and what their names? Do you find they help you with your bipolar? How?

I have 2 dogs, a cat, and I raise tropical fish.

My old doggie is named Katie. She is a smallish mutt with orange hair and big bugged out brown eyes. She "talks" to me when I cry. I look down at her and I could swear she is telling me "stop crying master ... I love you"

My cat is named Stupid. He is a huge Bombay. He also "talks", but only when he feels like it. He is pretty much a velcro cat. He follows me wherever I go. I like to pick him up and sit him on my chest. I find his purring very calming.

Then we have a puppy. He is an Australian Shepard with golden eyes and a chocolate coat. He also stays right at my feet. He doesn't really help with my BP but he's still young. I am hoping he learns from his big sister.

I raise African Ciclids of various kinds. Mainly Jack Dempseys. The noises of the water splishing and splashing in the aquariums are calming. I have a barter deal with the pet store. Every time I bring in a bag of babies I get free supplies.

" I have one dog he is a Yorkie named Spike since he thinks he is really a Rotty, lol. He is the love of my life and makes me face each day even when I don't want to. If I am upset and crying he will find me no matter were he is and crawl into my lap to lick away my tears.

To tell you the truth this can get on my nerves some times because I really need to cry to just get it out and I have to lock myself in the bathroom so I can cry without him getting all upset.

But he is the reason I have not considered suicide seriously since I got him when he was 6 weeks old and he is now 3 years. I mean I have made my sister promise to take him if anything should happen to me, but I worry that she won't dote on him and put up with his shenanigans like I do.

I knew when I got him it was a lifetime(his) commitment and I will always honor that because he is my sweet baby boy. "

" I forgot to mention that my dogs put themselves to bed at night....yes, they are all crate trained. They just up and decide it's time, even if it isn't and go running downstairs for the final going out, then right into their beds.
Does anyone else's dogs do this?
Also did anyone watch that youtube clip I posted? If you have a dog nearby, it WILL make them howl/sing or whatever you call it. "

" I have an Alaskan Husky (well, he's my brother's, but he lives in the house) named Colton. He's 2 years old, gorgeous, and so loving.

I also have a year and a half year old cat named Kitty. She's a chubby little orange tabby and she loves food and snuggling.

They both calm me down and make me happy. "

" I envy all of you who have pets!!!! I've had many, over the years. Right now, I am not well enough to take on the responsibilities of a dog or of fish, and my son is allergic to cats. The cats in my Avi are (Honey)Pie and (Baby)Cakes, but they are long since dead. Pie was cool!!! She would always bless you with a meow, when you sneezed and would play fetch!!! Cakes was a scrappy sort who took no crap from anyone!!! (But very loving, too!!!) "

" I have too many pets heh. 2 spice finches, but I never named them.

One male cat named Cyclone, a female named Lily, & a female kitten named Meredith. There are pics in my profile somewhere.

I suppose they help some w/ my moods. Meredith will climb up on my shoulder sometimes when I'm on the computer. "

" I have three dogs (all named after Star Trek characters): Worf, a Chow, Riker, a Chow-Border Collie mix, and Q, a Yorkshire Terrier-Pekingnese mix. I love them all so much.

They help with my bipolar a lot. Any time I'm feeling down I can take them outside and we always have a ton of fun, just playing with an old towel or anything like that. Riker acts like a puppy still even though he's 6 or 7 years old and gets so excited over food that he jumps around in circles.

I don't know what I would do without any of them. "

One tiger stripped female named Misty that belongs to me
One calico named fluff fluff that belongs to the step daughter

And a grey tiger stripped oreo cat named Shiver that belongs to

I feel valued when the cat knows I am feeling bad and purrs on my lap.....it's nice to know that an animal can sense feelings.... "
