got pets? What are they and what their names? Do you find they help you with your bipolar? How?
I have 2 dogs, a cat, and I raise tropical fish. My old doggie is named Katie. She is a smallish mutt with orange hair and big bugged out brown eyes. She "talks" to me when I cry. I look down at her and I could swear she is telling me "stop crying master ... I love you" My cat is named Stupid. He is a huge Bombay. He also "talks", but only when he feels like it. He is pretty much a velcro cat. He follows me wherever I go. I like to pick him up and sit him on my chest. I find his purring very calming. Then we have a puppy. He is an Australian Shepard with golden eyes and a chocolate coat. He also stays right at my feet. He doesn't really help with my BP but he's still young. I am hoping he learns from his big sister. I raise African Ciclids of various kinds. Mainly Jack Dempseys. The noises of the water splishing and splashing in the aquariums are calming. I have a barter deal with the pet store. I have my dads dog Tink who is very tempermental but very loyal. She is a shitzu.
Also living in the house is my 4 legged grandson Herbie is the love of my life. He is a Jack Russell. He has a great calming effect of me. On Tuesdays I get to spend the day with my other 4 legged grandson Zephyr who is a lab. He is still all puppy so my time spent with him is rather rowdy but its fun. When I finally get moved to Nashville I would like to get a kitten and a white german shephard

I have a cat my baby. jack jack he walked onto our porch right before the hurricanes. My dog scooby. big rhodesian pitt... he says i love you and rut roh, hes a big baby... we have pish freshwater... they are the kids. i dont like the sound of the tank, but i have a white noise thing and it goes along.

I have two cats, my late wife named them Aleph and Laila (sun and moon).
I call them Nancy Bungfungus and Sir Rufus Ping-Pang. I find them a comfort when I live alone. In a funny way they help when I am depressed because they are dependant on me and it means I have to do something, even if it only a little.

I have a house full of pets and I do think they help me cope.
Four dogs, which include my 14 yr old G. Shepherd I have had since he was 7weeks old, a Redbone Hound named Ginger, a Husky named Meka and of course my avitar doggie, Tinkerbelle, a black lab-shar pei mix who also answers to "you idiot." Plus three cats. They give me a reason to get out of bed everyday.

I have a dog named Koko, she is a norwegian elk hound. My boys and my husband love her to pieces! Me, not so much. I know, it sounds horrible but I am not a dog person. If they had shorter tongues, maybe.
She does help some because she can keep my boys occupied long enough for me to get a 10 minute break! I might not like her, but I have to live with her so I try to find the good wherever I can! :)

I have a bird, a meyer's parrot named Sinbad. I miss him soooo much because he had to stay at my friends pet shop while I was in shelter and i get him back as soon as the cold rain stops....GRRR hurricane Ida!!!
He keeps me on my toes which is good for me when I'm depressed and I get cracked up at him when he talks. I'm buying him new toys and fresh food when I get him back... i Love buying him toys!
