My life is upside down

I have had some terrible news this week and I am not coping very well. It isn't just affecting my bipolar, it is effecting my entire life. I don't know which way is up and which way is down anymore. I do know that the justice system sucks and it doesn't look that is going to change either.

I go see my pdoc on Tuesday, thank goodness. I can't get in to see my therapist until the 19th which sucks. Am hoping she will have a cancellation and I can get in sooner.

Not handling life really well right now. I just want to run. Run far. I don't want to commit suicide, that has never crossed my mind. But I do want to run, don't know where I would go, just run.

" it takes a lot of strength and bravery to look life in the face particularly when you are dealing with bp. i am sorry you feel this way. have you thought about possible outcomes that are not negative (referring to the news you have heard)? "

" I know that feeling and I wish I could make it go away for you. I've found for me it is best to stay right where I am and focus on the basics.

1. have I taken my meds?
2. have I eaten a nutritious meal?
3. have I taken a shower today?

Then I work on distracting myself with things that can make me feel better like putting together a colorful outfit that I think makes me look good, putting on some makeup (especially lipstick and blush), doing my hair, calling a friend or acquaintance and asking how they are doing, making a card for a loved one, etc.

I know it can be hard to find the space to take care of yourself if you have a family that needs you. I like the things above because I can work in taking care of myself in 5-10 minute periods of time interspersed with all my other responsibilities.

I hope you are able to find some peace as you move through this difficult time. ((hug)) "

" I was talking about this very thing this morn
I used getting lost or getting drunk (which I dont do) something to change the feelings or take me away from myself
I think ultimately we have to work through the hard times, know we can get through them and hopefully come out that much stronger.
Im glad you are seeing your doc next week
Big hug and a Blessing "
