and welcome to the Bipolar Support board. Feel free to post whatever you want. Vent about how madly your BP spouse treats you, call us names, try to get us to stop taking our meds in favour of homeopathic remedies ... it all goes here. We won't stand up for one another, and we'll just call each other liars anyway. So what if your post causes a member to trigger and spend days on end in a dangerous state of mind? We don't care ... we didn't see it happen, therefore it never did. Even if we did see it happen, we won't care.

" im not on here that much anymore for the same reasons Viejo. there is some mean spiritness about that hasent been here in a while and it rearing its ugly head again. and i feel the intimacy here is gone. ive been here started in 2002 left and came back i think in 2006 2007? and much had changed then also. ive noticed a lot of newbies here that maybe dont understand the "rules" for lack of a better word and are a little touchy. dont know who hurt you and im real sorry it happened. you know those of us who love and respect you and each other. ive become a lurker here! lol want to check things our first. dont see too many of the old names here anymore which makes me sad cause i miss them. i guess its the changing of the guard. theres been so many metemorphes (sp) here i guess this is just another one. like you once told me theres always the old timer and BP uncensored board!! " I think you hit the nail on the head D. All the old guard except 2 support the end of the argument that I do. It's the newbs who a.) haven't been diagnosed very long and b.) haven't been on the board very long, who just don't get it.

- this is our safe place

- we are hear to support and care for each other

- we should be willing to go to bat for one another

I remember when I first came here ... I posted some questions on another board, populated mostly by normies. They jumped me mercilessly. A beeper who was also a member of that other board came here and rallied the troops. Before you knew it, there were 15 pissed off beepers jumping the normies shit. That's the way the old days went. We hung close together. We loved each other. We supported each other. We went to bat for each other. We had each others' backs. These newbs don't seem to give a shit about anything but themselves.

But you know what? I am not going anywhere. I will teach these newbs how to act as beepers if it kills me. They have got to realize it's a tough world out there, and there is no reason to give anyone else quarter, because the world sure ain't gonna give us any. They hope to promote understanding with the normies. It's quixotic to do so. A waste of time. The best we can hope for is to teach the normies the outward manifestations of the disease. They will never understand what goes on inside. These newbs have got to pull together and learn to get each others backs ... stop pissing on each other and stop being so frikkin mypopic.

I'm gonna take a couple days to get back my strength and then I'll be back. Get ready newbs ... because only the strong will survive. "

" Ive missed some of the goings on
I heard someone behaved badly who wasnt BP and started some crap. Sorry to hear it was with you
To play the devils advocate I think it is really important to stop the stigma and I believe the only way to do that is to educate others
They can read books or research on Google however I think people will learn alot more by talking to those who walk the walk
AS long as its done respectfully "
