How many of you often have trouble keeping your home clean, like the shower and vanity, the dishes, the laundry... and your yard too, if you have one to maintain? Many of us do, right.

Well, I am wondering then, how many of us manage to ever get anything "extra" done at home? ...things like cleaning the windows and screens...sweeping and straightening our garage...cleaning out and reorganizing shelves, drawers, cupboards, file cabinets, etc?

I am doing well simply being able to brush my teeth and shower, eat, and take care of my cats most days... ***SIGH***

" My house looks like a tornado hit it - and that's WITH my husband picking up the slack and doing laundry and dishes. I am NOT a domestic goddess. I'm the furthest thing from that. "

" Oh heck, I knew there was a reason I had four kids. They have their list of chores and that is how all that extra stuff gets done. I dont know what I will do when they are gone.

" I'm glad to know I'm not alone. Sometimes I feel like a lazy slob because I can't get up the motivation to clean. Showering every day is enough of a challange. That pretty much leaves out getting anything "extra" done I guess. "

" Hi Susan, I have a lot of trouble with household chores. I have never done the windows.

I think taking a shower and brushing my teeth is sometimes all I can do in a day.

I do manage to vacuum, dust and clean the bathroom when they really have to get done, like tomorrow, I will be dusting, because the tables really need it and since my sister is coming over, I will also clean my bathroom, one if the worst jobs I think there are.

Along with that tomorrow, I will also be showering because my sister, my niece and myself are going to the movies.

The only thing I am looking forward to is going to the movies and showering so I will look half-way decent when we go. "

" because it NEVER ENDS! theres ALWAYS gonna be dishes, theres ALWAYS gonna be laundry etc. Its and endless cycle of horror! lol! my house isnt too bad but theres definately stuff to be done. the only reason i do any of it is because mikes kinda a clean freak and i feel kinda guilty if i didnt do anything. he picks up the slack but i can tell he aint happy about it because im home all day. the only time i really get down is when im manic as hell then i go thru the house like a friggin tornado till mike has to grab me to make me stop! the cleaning mania doesnt happen often most of my manic episodes i cant focus enough to do anything. yes showering is a chore too but i do it cause i couldnt stand myself if i didnt. you would think i was walking the green mile to the bathroom! lol. once im in the shower i hate to get out! theres dishes in the sink rite now and i look at them and keep it movin' i havent cleaned or cooked this whole week *sigh* i sometimes actually look forward to the cleaning mania just so i can get things done. " I have two types of apartment. Messy and over-cleaned. I either cannot do a thing and it gets horrible or I get into a manic cycle and clean until I am ranting cause nothing more can be cleaned. "

" Right now, my home looks like it has been ransacked and someone should call the police.

My home is cursed with disorder and mess. I work full time but still, I have friends who do and they don't have the chaos my home has. I have ADD and so does my husband and 2 of my 3 children who are teens. I pitty my 14 year old who is a normie with an OCD bent.

My house gets reasonably clean, at least in the living areas, for the holidays which are fast approaching. This is part of my holiday stress and blues. "
