Psych Dumped me

So the pdoc dumped me. And on the day when I was going to dispute her diagnosis. Great. So now I am looking for scholarships to pay for two more semesters of school (crucial for me), but haven't found many. I found an Elli Lilly one, but it would require my pdoc to reccommend me! Well, she did only dump me b/c I missed too many appts, so maybe she will be willing to do this? Not many would w/o an extra fee.

Also, I am having to beg my professors for grade changes and extra time, and I just want to die.

I'm so tired. I never wanted to be a "non-traditional" student. I want to work, damn it!

I have an insane mother who screams and throws me out, and a brother w/autism and severe learning disabilities for whom meds are no longer working--think constant screaming and hitting oneself as well as repeating everything ever heard from racial epithets to physical threats. Oh yes, and he's diabetic and insists on running out and buying whatever he wants to eat.

I am so GODDAMN tired. I just want a decent degree and a job--why are these prof's hindering that? Do they *want* me to die?

I'm also looking for a job. I hate this. I have refiled for disability, and should get word back this week.

Anyone know of any other scholarships I could apply for? (I already know about fastweb and fastaid.)

" Finding a good Psychiatrist is a difficult task to say the least as many (in my experience) either do not listen to your concerns and seem to act independently based upon a cookie cutter (if you will pardon the allusion) to their methods. IE: put every client on the same meds/treatments without regard to the fact that each person has differing reactions. I feel for you as where I live there is an 6-8 month waiting list to get into see another one. Continue I suppose to take the medications you react the best to until such time as you can find a replacement. I'm Canadian so the scholarships available here are completely different. One thing I find useful in continuing studies while managing the problems associated with our illness are the online Universities. The one which I was taking courses from for a period of time from athabasca.edu which is completely open universities which allows for distance educations and are completely accredited so this also allows one to maintain a job while completing credits at the same time.

I'm sorry to hear for the obstacles which are set before you at this time but remember there is nothing we cannot do given the right motivation and discipline. I hope you find reprieve and solutions to the problems you are enduring and please don't let them deter you from your goals in any way shape or form.

I applaud you for your motivations here and keep on keeping on as they say. I have no other advice at the present time but please realize that these motivations you do have are noble and not to be overlooked. It may not seem like it but your will to power here is fantastic.

Be well and keep your eye on the ball. :) You're a wonderful human being and again wonderfully motivated.

Cheers! I hope this all made some semblance of sense here as I am deep in the grip of the FLU right now.

Stay Epic! "
