My sister has a court date next week to see if she can get on SSD. Does anyone know what goes on during these? Will the judge ask her questions? Will he ask her spouse questions? Any info is greatly appreciated.

" The judge will look at your medical records and ask you a lot of questions and you lawyer will ask some questions. My judge didn't ask the vocational expert any questions. My judge seemed like he knew a lot about mental illness which surprized me. He wasn't the monster I thought he would be. From what I understand 70% get approved at this level. It was 8wks before I got my decision and 4 more wks before I got one small check. They still owe me about $50,000............. "
