god i cant stop crying!
i am fed up wit people! im starting to think that people think i choose to feel like this. im suffering really bad with depression at the moment and i think family & friends are getting anoyed that i cant just "PULL MYSELF TOGETHER". Do they not think that if it was that easy i would have done by now, i wouldnt be filling my body full of pills spending a fourtune on them etc, crying and having thoughts of just dispearing! think the final straw was my mum saying my sister is in a lot of pain with her hips and my mum said and u think u have problems yours is nothing in comparison! i have really had enough of this. People just don't get it sometimes. I'd even say that lots of times people suck. Thinking that always makes me feel better.
Something has to!

Emotional pain will always come secondary to physical pain in most people's minds. Just the way it is.

Sorry you're being treated so poorly. Some people will never "get it". At times it's just best to stay around those who ARE supportive and away from those who aren't. ****hugs****

I am not sure what I can say to make you feel better other than to say you are not alone in these feelings. You could be writing my life out in your post. I have spent years listening to people ask me why I don't choose to "get better" or "just snap out of it." I have actually asked some of them if I didn't want to get better then why the hell would I be taking meds that sometimes make my mind blank or make me a zombie or make me gain weight or just basically make me feel like shit. I asked my husband if he really thought I enjoyed spending most days thinking about suicide or else so wired I can't stop my mind from racing long enough to even have a lucid thought. I so understand where you are coming from, it is not easy, especially when someone says something like your mother did. To be fair, I don't think they can ever really understand how we feel or what we go through so I don't think they realize we aren't intentially setting out to hurt them by our actions. However, knowing that still does not stop the pain of dealing with the way most people view those of us suffering from BP. I know these are just words from someone you don't even know, but I wanted you to know you aren't alone and there are many of us who understand how you feel. Hope you feel better soon.

Others who don't go through this can never understand what we go through. Emotional pain is far worse than physical. It is the culprit of physical pain. Don't listen to people who don't live inside your head. It takes time to step outside the pain. Don't expect others to understand your pain. Only people who go through this emotional pain can truly fathom. Hope you feel better. You pull yourself together when you're ready and able. I hate that "snap out of it" reply too!

babychick im sorry you are having a bad day and that the people around you dont "get" it....i know it sounds cleshay (i dont think i spelled that right) but remember no matter what they say you can only do the best you can. if thats not good enough to bad. sometimes educating people about the disease helps....that is if they are willing to be educated....i hope you feel better soon friend

I hate being told just to "get over it" or "pull myself together" Unfortunately a lot of the time people just don't get it. Education does help sometimes. When I'm explaining depression I relate it to loosing someone. "Imagine your closest friend or mate died, imagine how that would feel, now imagine feeling that way for no reason and it lasting for months." Sometimes comparing it to something people understand helps.

Dear I am sorry this is happening to you. People don't understand what it is that we are going thru if they haven't been there themselves. Do you have a support system? Maybe that is what you should hold on to right now...if not come here to us. We know what you are going thru cuz we live it every day.
