I have worked all of my life and had many jobs. I was never able to keep any for more than a year or 2. Right now I am an unemployed dental assistant. I have been unemployed for 3 mos now and unable to find work. It is an overwoked, underpaid and EXTREMELy high stress career and high stress is a trigger for me.
I just applied for a part time job and still waiting to hear back from them. Seriously considering ssdi, but at the same time it will not be enough income for us, we need 2 full time incomes in order to suvive here in MD because the cost of living is so high.

I do not work, as with the bipolar and everything else (autism, anxiety issues, fibromyaliga, and sensory issues (although I do have more issues than that, it does not affect me all the time)) I am basically house bound right now.
I am trying to work on my fears and issues but it is so hard. I do get SSI which is good, it is enough to live on.

I am on SSDI for BP Disorder and chronic pain. In fact, I haven't worked in years.
I did apply for a volunteer job at the hospital but they didn't have any positions open until they finish upgrading the ER and sattelite buildings are built. It will take a year, but when the time comes, I'm going to start volunteering there to see if I can even handle that. At this point, I am not sure if I will be able to deal with it, but I am going to try.

I work 35 hours a week at a high school as an interpreter. It gets real stressful and I want out so bad but I don't think that is going to happen until I can retire. Damn.
I also am training my nephew in ways to make people sin and go to hell. He gets my letters and tries so hard but it is so easy sometimes.

I work as a teacher in a public school and have worked there for 28 years. In the last two years I have had problems with stress, anxiety, and panic. I was just diagnosed BP II last fall. Had a breakdown episode in December and took the rest of the school year off. Luckily I had plenty of sick days. I tried for disability but didn't get it. I am going back to work in the fall. Feeling much better now so I am okay with it. I am making plans to deal with stress and triggers so I can make it through the last two years until retirement. sg
