" I didnt work for several years while raising my kids......I started back about 10 years ago cleaning houses, working for myself, it pays great money and kept me very active. It was very flexible.

I have my own business now helping people organize their homes and lives. It, too, is very flexible and pays great money. I have always been a very active person and found it difficult to stop.......I knew I would only feel worse about myself and my life.

I think even if we cant work, we should at least volunteer our time and learn what our other interests might be. I think alot of people who cant work struggle with isolation and boredome issues so it makes sense to try to get out and help others.

Hugs "

" I work full-time and I am a case manager in a crisis center for a mental health center. I try to be an inspiration for those people, especially the newly diagnosed and those who have a history of med noncompliance that keeps ending them up in the hospital. "

" I am recently unemployed after 29 years at the same company. The last 10 years I have been a web designer. I have some side work web designing and product /gift design like wall calendars, toys and what ever and did some stuff for Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr., and Jimmie Johnson. But most of it has dried up at the moment. I collect unemployment but I am about to lose my health insurance since I can't afford COBRA for much longer. I am trusting God will step in here. "

" I work full-time at a University in the Admissions Office. Very busy office, for sure! I'm extremely blessed and fortunate to have this job after all these years, especially after having a scary manic episode in front of everyone (plus many, many depressive episodes that interfered with my work).

My co-workers and supervisors are so wonderful to me. It's a great place to work. "

" I've been a nurse since 1983. I've had to take a few FMLA's because of this illness over the years but have been lucky enough to keep my job. Most of the time I find it rewarding but there certainly is a lot of pressure which gets in the way....... "
