" I am on disability and unemployed but I have a part time volunteer job. I like it a lot. It's a good match for me. I'm applying for another one but I don't think I'll get it. You don't know until you try however, so I'm applying anyway. We'll see. It feels good to get out there and help people. Always a positive experience. Especially without pressure. "

" alot of pressure makes a big difference. If I get under alot of pressure it takes alot of self talk to keep my confidence up! "

" I go to school full time and work part time as a caregiver for the elderly in a private assisted living facility. I also volunteer at a cat shelter. I love all of it. It feels good to give back and help others (and the cats!). "

" Pressure can be a big trigger. I live in Washington, DC. A workaholic town. You're nobody if you don't have a job. That's why my position with the US Holocuast Memorial Museum is ideal. I get to help out a lot. It's very busy but I get a feeling of satisfaction from helping out people when I work there. I'm also applying at the National Museum for Women in the Arts. But it's much more competitive and I doubt I'll get the position. It's worth a shot however, so I'm trying. It's in the hands of Fate. We'll see. I have no expectations. It would be nice but I still have USHMM. So, I'm cool. "

" I am not working. On disability. I would love to go back to school, but am afraid that I wouldn't be able to handle the stress of it. I love medicine, takes a lot of work & residency would be hard in regards to sleep. Have loads of doctor friends & they always are telling me to go back, especially when my kids are older. Again same thing, I am scared. Maybe I will go back to volunteering, refugees around here need to learn English - very rewarding overall. "

" I worked for a long time but finally the stress got to me too bad and I was having a lot of anxiety and panic attacks. So, I quit and now I am on disability. I also have problems with bipolar. I can't believe what a difference it made though after I quit. I am so much more calm now and never realized the stress was triggering me. The downfall though is I have a lot less income now. "
