My friend who is on unemployment and her husband works says she and him didnt get checks (yet) this year but did get check last year. I am on ssdi and did get a check. Direct deposit.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just trying to sort out the lies. It's never fun but necessary.

Everyone who earned a certain amount of income should have received a stimulus check last year. This year we are not getting a big check but the tax withholding has changed so we all see about $15 more on a biweekly paycheck..... it doesn't seem like a lot but it adds up to about $300 a year per person and since we get it a little bit at a time it's more likely that we'll spend it and put it back into the economy.....

He worked last year until the end of June when he was laid off. He has been on unemployment since July 2008.

He works extremely hard at getting a job. He has been on so many interviews. With some companies he had up to three interviews. The other person got the job each time.

He has a problem with lying to me, but he is really trying to get a job.

All I know is that my son and sister in law get extra money each week in their unemployment as part of the stimulus package. I dont know how much for sure, I think like $40 a week............

For last year if he didn't receive a stimulus check he should have been able to get it when he filed his taxes for 08. I don't remember how much you had to earn $3000... maybe $6000.. I'd have to check.

It was $3000. If you earned at least that then you either got a check or were eligible to get it when you filed your taxes.

Neither me nor my husband received a stimulus check. I have no idea why.

hey walking..i'm on unemployment now, and i didn't get a stimulas check....i only wish i did..geez, i could sure use it right now:(...big hug:) maggie
