I took it with bad results. Ended up in the hospital. I hope you have better luck with it. Keep your doctor updated on how you are feeling. =)

It's a Fat Pill. Works great (well, did for me) but while taking it tis best you avoid sugar, too many carbs as it effects how you metabolise these & can cause both fat & resultant type 2 diabetes..a massive lawsuit was settled (huge payout) confirming this finding as drug company didn't initially list this common side effect.

I took it for awhile but I hated the weight gain so I was switched to something else that works so much better without the weight gain.

Zyprexa left me with a tired disgusting feeling all of the time, not to mention sent me into a feeding frenzy.

I gained a lot of weight on zyprexa.

Definite weight gain!!! Not just talking about a little bit of weight here... my doc put me on Zyprexa specifically to make me gain weight when I got control of my eating disorder...

ditto ... I took it a short time tedi.. but if I had stayed on it longer it is definitely a weight gaining med because it makes you hungry... ((hugs))

I gained about 30 lbs on it then it stopped working and my doc took me off of it.

Like everything else...I'm different. Zyprexa does increase my appetite but right now I'm losing weight and have been ever since I added Risperdal and Abilify. I've lost about 15lbs since April. I took off 9lbs. in a short period of time first during a deep depression then the rest has come off gradually. Also, at one point two years ago, I lost 42lbs while on Zyprexa 20mgs. per day. I gained 25 of it back. Now I have ten more to take off before I am at my goal weight. It's a battle to stay at your goal weight with these meds but I'm determined to do it this time. I think it's possible.
