" It's a Fat Pill. Works great (well, did for me) but while taking it tis best you avoid sugar, too many carbs as it effects how you metabolise these & can cause both fat & resultant type 2 diabetes..a massive lawsuit was settled (huge payout) confirming this finding as drug company didn't initially list this common side effect. " I took it for awhile but I hated the weight gain so I was switched to something else that works so much better without the weight gain. "

" Like everything else...I'm different. Zyprexa does increase my appetite but right now I'm losing weight and have been ever since I added Risperdal and Abilify. I've lost about 15lbs since April. I took off 9lbs. in a short period of time first during a deep depression then the rest has come off gradually. Also, at one point two years ago, I lost 42lbs while on Zyprexa 20mgs. per day. I gained 25 of it back. Now I have ten more to take off before I am at my goal weight. It's a battle to stay at your goal weight with these meds but I'm determined to do it this time. I think it's possible. "
