" I loved zyprexa... i made me pretty tired, but after a week, i was good to go... It was the best i've felt in a long time, unfortunately, even when running 3 miles a day, 5 days a week, i gained 19 lbs in 3 weeks. Went on a diet and kept running and gained another 10 lbs. So i went off the med.

Good luck. I have another friend on it who loves it - gained some weight initially, but leveled off and is now the best they've done in years. "

" ty my pdoc suggested it and i'm contemplating it, cause my sleep is a major issue right now. I'm on geodon which helped with depression, but now I can't sleep. lunesta which was helping but doesn't do much anymore. Tried seroquel but couldn't tolerate side effects. I was on zyprexa a long time ago but couldn't remember whether it helped with sleep. Geodon has been the only med i've lost wt. on. I'll try the zyprexa and if it works, i'll just have to live on slimfast cause i'm tired of not sleeping. "

" There are two types of Zyprexa. One is based wth Lithium. The other is not.
I myself am highly allergic to lithium and take the non-lithium based one at bedtime.
It sends me into never never land but if I am awoken during the middle of the night,it has worn off(about 4hrs)and I cannot get back to sleep.I take 5mgs. "
