Tardive Dyskenisia

Has anyone here ever had it from their meds? My tongue is starting to slightly pulsate and I wonder if that's a precursor to it. I haven't been on my new meds very long and Tardive Dyskenisa literally means "late appearing dystonic movements" but I'm concerned. I take Abilify, Risperdal and Zyprexa...to name a few. Any thoughts?

Am currently going through it on abilify- they took me off it and have only been off for 2 days- it can take up to 7 once you're off..its a very common side effect of abilify. good luck.

When i was in State Hospital I seen a guy have an attack of TD. It was his tongue and throat. I thought he was choking but nurses said it was TD.
I would be concerned and tell my doctor.

Wouldn't ya know my pdoc is out of town this week and I can't see him until Nov. 12th. So I called his doc on call tonight. Maybe she'll have some answers and I can go see her.

The pdoc on call will check my tongue for tremors and my blood pressure. If I can't get to her to go to a supermarket and get my blood pressure checked.
