Just took it last night. Woke up with a really bad night terror (that I don't remember. Was sleepwalking with the phone again, and no one showed up this time, so it wasn't too bad) But, How long does it take to stop my bad dreams?
I got to sleep, but then got scared, then it took me two hours to get back to sleep. I am sorta still a little terrified. Posted on 07/04/07, 11:07 am |

I take Seroquil for sleep..just 25/50mg..
Usually wake up in the middle of the night for a while...Usually have to have something to eat at 2 am...Do you do that? Haven't had any night terror so far...have had some really strange dreams...I don't know what wakes me,,it just seems like i'm wide awake...Going to talk to doc about it... Do you take anti-anxiety meds for the fear?

They put me on vistaril, and it made me more terrified, ended up sleepwalking and calling the emerency number in my sleep. Police came to the door and all. Well I was so terrified. I don't even remember doing it. I told them I was sleeping. They were so gentle and kind with me. All they did was remind me to lock my door and told me they hope I start getting better rest. At least I didn't do that last night. Anyhow, long story short. I wish I knew when the regulars who took seraquel found benefits? I am on it because I find myself staying awake terrified night after night getting no sleep. I am on it because my axieties are so creepy, if they put them on tv they could make a really good suspense story out of them lol! I just want to know when did everyone start to see release. I have night terrors, bad dreams, dementia, and restless sleep.

I take 900 mg of Seroquel and I have found it to be a godsend. It knocks me out all night and helps me with my moods.

The rule of thumb for side effects to disipate with all of these drugs is 2-weeks, if the side effects still continue you have the choice of taking the med anyway or seeing if your pdoc wants to make a change. I realize how scary this must be for you. I'm on Seroquel 800mg at bedtime and once I woke up in the middle of the night and thought my husband was my mother.

Last night I woke up in a night terror, was dialing the phone again. Thank god, I didn't dial the er this time! Anyhow, I was so terrified my heart was jumping out of my chest. I was also experiencing terrible chest pains. I am thankful it didn't get worse, ya know cardiac arrest and everything else. I took a cold pack, put it on my chest till the pain went away, and it took me two hours to get back to sleep. I wasn't sleepin till 5 am! I can't wait for my release to come.

You might want to call your pdoc tomorrow and let him/her know just how severe your side effects are.

when I started my med cocktail.. I had someo pretty scary and VIVID dreams. I don't know which med (s) was responsible.. however, they have stopped now.
Seroquel is my favorite med... for what it does for me. Yesterday, I had to make a choice. Buy food or seroquel. I chose the drug. THAT is how much I like it. Now my cupboards are literally bare. I ate my last can of food yesterday. The GOOD news is... the Seroquel keeps me from FREAKING OUT with worry about it. MY whole point being... even if it was the Seroquel at first that was bringing on those horrible nights... the trade off is so worth it to me. Good luck with it for you ~ GodSpeed
