It says there that you shouldn't start more than one goal at a time. What do you think? Is this why I'm failing? Too many goals? Make money.. lose weight.. start painting...

I want your input and experience..

" Too many goals , and you may be setting yourself up for failure .

A self fullfiling prophecy ....I am a failure ?

I do baby steps, and then have to remind myself , it's ok , that I did not conquer the World today "

" Great article Z...
I agree for sure.. Several times I've tried to start several things at once when I want to 'fix' all of me.. I always fail...

I find for sure that 'baby steps' are attainable and you feel the growth as you pursue your goal... It works for me and I don't feel the crash of being disappointed in myself..x "

" Hi Zenith~~

My connotation of "zen" is very peaceful enlightenment via meditation so this structured, enthusiastic approach to goal setting and achieving seemed a bit .....what word am I looking for? ..... intense. That's not the right word but I hope you get my drift.

For me, goals are good. They help to organize my chaos. I set rubber goals (vey flexible) so periodically I re-evaluate and adjust if necessary. That way the gavel never comes down and I proclaim myself a failure.

My latest goal is to sort and organize 25+ years worth of family photos. Once they're all sorted, I'm making cookbook/scrapbooks for the Babies with all our family recipes and pictures. The sorting has been so difficult. It makes me cry to see the girls when they were babies and growing -- there was so much fun, laughter and activity at our house. I discovered that the process is easier when I'm watching the Olympics (distraction) so I'm plowing ahead.

At one point I'd hoped to have the books done by the time the Babies were getting married but Baby #2 slipped in and got married much sooner than I anticipated so I revised that goal -- I want to have them complete when they get complete!! "

" Fine, I am so sorry for bringing you down, by voicing my opinion, don't worry it won't happen again. "
