Anyone els on Epival? I see lots of you are on Lithium, but not many on Epival.

I'm having a halloween party for my youngest grandson tomorrow and all of my son's in-laws are coming. I'm feeling anxious and worrying that my food won't be good or something.

well im sorry about my post from today.. it didnt come out the way i had wanted it to but oh well... i cant change whats already been said and no.. im just sick and tired of people picking on other people and i was just trying to take both sides and i did it ALL wrong.. i made a mistake and im adult enough to say im sorry

I actually haven't heard of that med. Is it for depression or mood stability? Do you know if it's ok for pregnancy?

Its name is Depakote

(also known as Valproic Acid, Depakene, Epilim, Depakote SR, Epival)
Depakoate (calproate semisodium or divalproex sodium) consists of a compound of sodium valproate and valproic acid in a 1:1 molar relationship in an enteric coated form. It is used in the UK and US for the treatment of the manic episodes of bipolar disorder, and in the US for the treatment of epilepsy, chronic pain associated with neuropathy, and migraine headaches. The extended release formulation allows for a single daily dose

duh, I should have known that! But thanks for being sweet in telling me anyhow.

Epival is also used in Canada. I use it for my Bipolar illness and to treat my Epilepsy and consequent migraine headaches I get after a seziure. I take 1700 mg every day.
