Notified today that my COBRA will end 12/31/2008. Now what do I do for health insurance coverage? I have too much money in retirement accounts to qualify for medicare.

GO to your local community health clinic. If you are not working, you should be able to qualify for assistance at a reduced rate (sometimes free). You can also visit your local office of children and family services (or social services)

Here in CT we have a State run health plan called Charter Oak plan it is for everyone who makes under $80K. Look up insurance plans on the internet there has to be something like that for you where you pay insurance based upon your income, on a sliding scale. Good luck to you...Maria J.
