Advice:
Hypomania and depressed even on meds?

I just got diagnosed and started my medication regimen about 3 months ago. Up to this point I have been doing great; but I noticed that in the past couple of weeks I became quite depressed not wanting to even leave the house or bother with anything or anyone.
Now, I feel like I am swinging the other way. I feel like I used to when I went through manic episodes except that it is not as intense; hypomanic state I would call it.
I have been taking my medication as I am supposed to and have been going to therapy and to work out except for the last couple of weeks since I felt so bad.
Is it normal to have what I would consider break through episodes of mania and depression even with the medications or should I be concerned?

" I need to look up the definitions of hypo mania and mixed episode. I'm not exactly sure what those are.

If mixed episodes mean mixed depression and mania, then I've spent quite a bit of time there.

As far as the meds go, mine haven't stopped either the depression or the mania. They have limited the intensity and duration of my depressive episodes.

Keep talking to your doc! Good luck! "
