My dose of lamotrigine was upped to 75mg today. Is it normal to feel anxious and panicey when the dose is increased?

I have been taking Lamictal for about 2 years now. I am up to 400mg. At first it worked great. As for side effects, I have memory loss really bad, but I also get maintenance ECT treatments every month, so my memory is really, really awful. I am still not stabilized though. All the other meds didn't work or had really bad side effects (like kidneys shutting down on Lithium). I think it is probably better than most of the other choices, the weight gain part is what I don't like.
