Also I've devoloped bad acne since i started few weeks ago, is that normal?

" Hi, I usually felt sleepy & sedated when increasing the dose of lamotrigine. Maybe your anxious feelings are related to your hypomania. That is just a guess. I had lots of anxiety related to this diagnosis when it was new, in addition to being very hypomanic. It might take a while for you to have a good effect from the lamotrigine. Call your pdoc if it keeps up.

I don't know about the acne. Try asking your doctor.

Good luck with all this. I hope you feel better. ((hugs)) "

" I take 300 mg of Lamictal and it has worked for me. Initially, I had anxiety and memory problems, but they only lasted 3 weeks. I waited out the side effects and it was worth it. Geodon has the same initial effects. "

" i also had the same start-up side effects as others described. i take 300, down from 450. i've found it very, very effective (i can't take lithium, am allergic to it), tho' the co-pay kills me.

also like the others, i've not heard of acne as a side effect, so i also encourage you to call doc "

" I have a friend who went off of Lamictal because she go severe acne. I think if you read the literature that comes with your script, you will see acne as a side effect, or look online to see if it has acne as a side effect. "

" I've been on Lamictal for 6 months,up to 225 mg. My side effects are heightened anxiety, memory issues, and weight gain. Sometimes I'm so zoned out, my driving is affected (attention span problems). I want to try another med. "

" You've gained weight? Your the first person I've heard say that. Most ppl don't gain, some even lose. Thankfully I'm losing weight! My memory is terrible, I have to write everything down otherwise I'd just forget!
I'm still on 75mg I guess I'll be increased soon "

Just look at this post.

(Seriously, took at least 4 month to get use to the dose, son don't jump on early conclusions, took me some time to see the effects). "
