I have been on 10mg of abilify (also lamictal & seroquel) for a while now... the doc just upped the dose to 20mg and I am on day 5 of this new dose

I woke up this morning extremely anxious with a lot of suicidal thoughts.. not sure if its the cycle of the BP (been feeling excellent for the last month or so).. or the abilify

anyone had any similar experiences on abilify?

" I was on 30mg of Abilify for several years. I never had SI while on Abilify. I hope you have someone to talk to and be with right now. I would call you pdoc tomorrow and talk to him/her about how you're feeling. Hang in there! "

" Abilify is a partial dopamine agonist. It may be that you are liberating a lot of dopamine in your brain as a result of the abilify.

You might want to decrease your dose or skip a dose and see if the thoughts change. "

" i take a low dose of abilify and i've noticed some anxiety so it could be that, but i would definately talk to your doctor cos he or she would know best. anyway, i've been wondering myself if the abilify was what was causing the anxiety so its interesting that i'm not the only one. "

" My doctor told me that abilify is supposed to help with anxiety, not cause it, because when i talked to him about my anxiety he upped my abilify. "
