So i just started 5 mg of abilify to help with irritation, but i don't know if i should take it at night or in the morning. i took it in the morning and when i took my parnate later i was unbelievably tired, parnate alone doesn't usually make me that tired. so i tried taking it at night with my trazodone and i didn't sleep well. i took it this morning, but i'm still confused. does anyone else take abilify, when do you take it?

" I was on 30 mg of it and it made me tired at lower doses, but not the thirty. Maybe they could increase your dosage. It became to expensive for me to buy, thats the only reason im not on it anymore "

" In the morning, though I'm slowly weaning off of it. It made me restless when I took it at night. "

" I take 5 mg at night and it seems to help knock me out a bit before bed (drowsy). I've found the few times I've taken it in the morning it makes me feel sluggish and foggy, so the nights seem to work better for me. "

" It really depends on how you react to the Abilify as to when you should dose it. If it makes you restless at night definitely take it in the morning. However, I would talk to your doctor. I have clients who dose at night because of tiredness. I take 30 mg in the morning because the Abilify gave me energy and made me restless at night for the first two weeks or so that I took it.

Good luck. "

" I was put on 30mg last time I was hospitalized. I was like a zombie and couldn't even keep my eyes open all day. After I got out of my little "crisis" my pdoc put me on 5 mg, no side effects. Then 7.5, okay so far. 15 mg-zonked all day. Of course it is WAY expensive, even on medicare or insurance. I took myself back down to the 5 mg. But I don't take it unless he gives me samples cause my co-pay is over 300 bucks. "
