Has anyone ever had one done? They are pretty new, but I hear very useful in determining the exact areas of the brain that aren't properly fxning. Which would make precribing meds that much easier, since it really is just a trial and error thing. Just wondering if anyone has heard of it and what their take it. Thinking of having it done....if I have to switch meds ONE more time..... I swear they are running out of combos for me.

are you thinking of a PET scan...what type of scan? I have heard of them being used sometimes--usually at major hospitals or some specialty clinics..ie Dr. Amen Clinic in Newport Beach CA

It is a SPECT scan, and I going to the Amen clinic in VA.

I watched something about it on TV a while back. Sounds very interesting. I wouldn't mind looking into it further but I don't think they do it here in Australia. I have looked and havent found anywhere yet.
