" I have been on Cymbalta for some four months or better, and I must say that I love it. So much so, that I live on a fixed income of less than 632.00 a month, and that takes up all for rent, but I still find the money to make sure that I have to buy my cymbalta, I have been bipolar II for some 12 yrs plus, and have been through a lot in those years and a lot of medicines, most of which take at least six weeks or longer to start to work, the one thing that I can count on from Cymbalta, is that within a week or two max, I am back to feeling normal, not depressed and all the better for it. I do not like to praise medicine, but I must say that this one, I will do what ever I have to just to get it, so that I can keep that depression Monster away. I can not handle him, so the cymbalta really helps with that. So, I hope this helps you, I am not a doctor, nor do I claim to be, but give it a chance and see what happens, I believe that you will find yourself a much happier person very soon. Please keep in touch with me and let me know what happens with you and this drug. I am quite interested. The most people that i have talked to have had similar reactions. Just have faith and let time be time and God be God.
Your Friend;
Kacey "

" I took Cymbalta when I first started on any medication at all.

It made me so drowsy that I could not stay away even while walking! It made me live in such a haze that I couldn't remember much while on that medication.

But I was drowsy right away so you'll know if that's going to be a problem within a few days. I had to change to something else. "

" I took it for a year and then when spring came it flipped me into rapid cycling. I was taking 60 mg Cymbalta, 600 Seroquel and 900 Lithium.

I dropped Seroquel and Cymbalta and now take symbyax and lithium. Seems to be working great. "

" I am on Cymbalta have been for about 4+ months now, at first I felt pretty good, then went into a deep depression for about 10 days, however when I came out of that depression I was thrown into mania....my doctor said that basically I needed to stay on the Cymbalta b/c of my strong depressions, however it basically gave me a good kick in the ass and threw me back into mania so I need to take Serequel to bring me back down and I'm also on Lithium to stabilize my moods all around. " It didn't work out for me.... drowsy/sleepy all the time, constant mild and very annoying headache, and when withdrawing from it, if you've ever taken effexor be prepared for a possible equally rough weaning off period with brain zaps, etc... "
