Back from Afghanistan!!!

Well, I'm back home and it sure feels good. I was supposed to being a 2 year tour in Afghanistan, but (I am not at liberty to discuss matters in great detail...sorry), I was released on a Honor Discharge due to an injure sustained while in the course of duty. I took a moutor round ont he right side of body (lucky shot on their behalf) with scrapnell from head to toe. We (my spotter and I) could not break radio silience and I had to indure the pain while contuning my mission. Fortunately it all the pulled out of me was a large amunt of metal (I kept a few pieces, LOL).

Sorry I have been out of tough with you all. Missed you guy/gals very much, but I was often out in the field (literary) for days/weeks at a time. We did not have accesses to writting or receiving mail, much less a computer. That's part of running Special Ops.

But it's great to be home. I appreciate all the support, love, and care you all gave me!

Cheers!!!

" I'm not looking for an "Koo-does," so please don't be mistaken. I was damn good a what I did and I bad guys just got a lucky round of at me and my spotter. I can't say that I want to go back, but I also can say that I want to stay. At least I'm in one piece, unlike some of the other unfortunate soldiers out there and some don't come back at all (well not alive anyhow).

I was simply saying HI to everyone and how good it was to be home. No more, no less. I apologize others may have taken it a different way.

So, as the sun sets in the west...I bid you all a fond farewell and I am back on the board. "

" my son in law was damn near killed there on 9-12-09. he will be permanently medically discharged. he took 7 rounds to his flak jacket and the rest in his legs and pelvis a total of 11 hits. he said iraq was like a beach party compared to afghanistan. it was 150 taliban against 10 soldiers. they were ambushed. his first leuteninate was killed and he had to use him as cover. 4 were killed or injured and they were able to get out of harms way and called for an airstrike and they dropped a bomb and wiped out the rest of the sorry taliban bastards. i am so glad you are back. " I know a lot of people may hate me for this, but I don't believe you. I know that special ops of any branch of the military will not accept mentally ill persons.....period. So either you don't have bipolar disorder, or your not in any kind of special ops. I know the militay very well....I was denied even bootcamp because of mental illness, so there is absolutely NO possible way that you are special ops AND mentally ill.......never gonna happen dude. I know everyone will hate me for saying it, But......My brother was in the navy seals, and when he couldn't see 20/20 anymore he got put out......just for his eyesight not being perfect. So your just gonna have to excuse me for wondering how someone who's profile says they are in the mental health field, and in the special ops.....well that just don't jive as being true to me at all. " Just in case no one thinks I know what I'm talking about.....just google can I join the military with a mental illness. That should bring you more than enough clear answers......when your through with those, think how weird it sounds now that he says he's in special ops??? Every person has paperwork to fill out when they enter the military (any branch) And that includes medical history (mental being VERY important) No one in the military is going to trust a person with a known mental health issue with ANY security clearence...period, so please don't insult our intelligence any further with your delusional ideations.....because anyone who believes you should be in the "special ops" with you. If you really want an answer for yourself, ask your local recuiter......see what they say.....because I know a few of them, and they would all tell skyline to find something else to do with his life........
