I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow. I dont know for how long. Hopefully not a long time. I gotta go because they're going to change my meds.
I was taking seroquel as an anti psychotic but it stopped working which was hell!! I was having violent obsessive thoughts and paranoid delusions all of which was giving me a hellacious time. I was barely functional. Now my pdoc wants to ween me off seroquel and put me on abilify. I dont know what to do.I hate being in the hospital, and I know its gonna help but I'm just so anxious about it now! Its like all can thing about.... Posted on 11/05/09, 10:11 pm |

Every time I have been in the hospital it hasn't been bad. It is just a safe place to get your meds tweaked. You will be ok. Don't be anxious. Try to relax and breathe.

Balance out your anxiety with the realization that this will be a good help to you. I've never minded being in a good facility. Well, not much, anyway. As far as anti-psychotics go, every one I've ever used has quit working and when they do it causes exactly the symptoms you describe. Take care.

Hospitals can be fun. It'll help when you start to feel better. Abilify made me super tired, to the point where I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes open and I'd have to leave school early. And at home every so often I'd drop on the floor, and I wouldn't be able to get up for a while. I hope it helps you :)
