As of right now, everything sucks. It seems like when things start to ease up in life the cosmos dicide to send in a whirlwind to destroy everything. In the past two months i've lost my job, my apartment and now my b/f of two years. So now i'm back at my parents home, miles away from any friends, with nothing to do but stare at the walls at night and try not to break down. Everyone keeps telling me that things will be better in the future, but right now i'm just wondering how to get through the next day...

moment by moment....that's all we're given. It can be hard even getting through those moments, but that is the best thing to do. Because then when you've made it through a few moments you can look back and say "hey yeah! I made it!" sorry you're struggling. :(

I'd say that putting your energy into getting through each day is good. I know you don't want to hear about how good things can be, but the people who tell you that are being supportive and helpful. And they're right and I think you know it. Of course you should take a little time to enjoy wallowing in your despair. It's no good feeling bad if we can't enjoy it. Just take it day by day and you'll be amazed at your progress.

You know, at first I was upset and angry about your comment Tommymott about "enjoying wallowing in my despair". I thought of a dozen comments to defend against it...
But then I stopped and thought about it. You're right, not about enjoying it, but that I was wallowing in it. It's a bad habit of mine, seeing everything in a bad light and becoming consumed by it. Well, while there are still moments where I can't see straight because my eyes are tearing up so bad, I'm taking a new tatic now. I'm getting angry, angry at myself for getting into this mess. It helps. It lites a fire under my ass to go about trying to change things so I can get the hell out of this place and back to my life. Thanks for the advice, both of you. I'm trying to take it day by day, moment by moment. Here's hoping my rage doesn't cool, cause things are gonna take awhile before they get better.

you can do it!..if you are eating?..think only of eating..not the past or future..just what you are doing in the moment. hat is how I can give my brain a break every day from the overwhelming issuses we face. If I am breathing?..I remind myself that I am grateful for each breath..take care xx
