Denied twice...Any of you out there feel like you can not or have not described your symptoms, day to day struggles etc. I feel I did not explain my condition and what I experience daily when I filed. No well enough any way. I try to explain it clearly however it SO hard for me to focus long enough to put everything down, I get frustrated and want to just finish.

Sorry you got let down again, l got a social worker to fill mine in what she wrote had me thinking damn l actually burst into tears the very worst has to be written down and then some you have to sound hopeless so they see its benefits or death. Could you get your pdoc or therapist to fill it in they understand how it should be worded.
Have you tried looking for tips at this link, l think the help is on the final page... http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Bip...

The second time disability was filed for me it was filed by one of the hospitals I had been showing up at psychotic. They were tired of me being admitted inpatient without insurance or a job. I am no help because I didn't even have to explain how I was feeling, doing, they did it for me.
What I have heard from people that have filed succesfully is to have a family member describe how you REALLY are doing. No sugar coating or trying not to hurt your feelings. And then your pdoc has to be backing up your claims as well.

Thank you for the feedback.
Vickybea, I will check the website out. How did you obtain a Social Worker? I have gone thru them for child support enforcement.

my old Drs office had a nurse, therapist and a social worker attatched to it so l got help for free without looking, this new Dr has the same set up l made sure l need the help with paperwork so ask your Dr the best way to find one even if one doesn't visit your Dr's they might know how to get hold of one.

I completed a thorough and detail application for SSDI. I added attachments to expand answers to some of the questions. The greatest influencing factor was my Psychiatrist's required report. He even included a taped assessment. It was costly ($750) but I divided payments to $58/month. I was approved the first time I submitted. Hope this helps.
