Why are all bi polar people misunderstood? Why is Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel making jokes about us? Is this funny? After Brads suicide...it is now.Bi Polar can be very, very serious and Brad did not take his medication.I take mine everyday and when I dont...I double up.But us bi polar people are just so misunderstood. Now there was a man who killed his neighbor...it was over a dog barking. He was bi-polar.The boy who was shot and killed recently was bi polar...and why are the police pulling a arm on an unarmed man? Do any bi polar people rob banks? Do any bi polar steal police cars? THESE SYSTOMS MEAN THE PERSON NEEDS HELP.WHY SHOOT HIM? anD BI POLAR PEOPLE ARE LOOKED UPON AS FREAKS...YOU SHOULD HEAR SOME OF THE PEOPLE TALK IN THE COFFEE HOUSES HERE.WHY? mAY i ASK SOMETHING IF OPRAH WINIFRY ADMITTED THAT SHE WAS BI POLAR DO YOU THINK THAT PUBLIC WILL ACCEPT US? I just want to be accepted and loved but so far I am all of the neat freaks...the aliens and other men like Brad....Lets unite and do something positive for bi polar people.Way to go!

" Ther is some stigma to mental illness labeling, but I guess that's why you should limit who you tell about your condition. If you only tell your closest of friends of loved ones, those who you know won't "attack" you for what youare, then you don't have to worry about it. As for the rest of the world, screw 'em. the say the same things about people w/HIV, midgets, kids w/cleft pallets, etc. The neurotypicals of the world just love to have some non-perfect group to pick on. " I've dated a bipolar and there a huge stigma. The last thing I could do was mention the "b" word but her behavior made it inevitable. The other side of the stigma is refusing to admit that one is not being maintained as well as one could. Lots and lots of denial.

I love her very much and I know she is bipolar. Sometimes I don't think she knows how much I love her. I just want her better maintained. Sometimes I wish I could call it "diabetes". No one cares if your blood sugar is out of whack but have an episode and both the episodee and everyone around her have to "not talk about it". That solves nothing. "

" well ben stiller and jim carrey are bipolar.
abraham lincoln was bipolar.
this stupid people need to shut the hell up because we are just people like everyone else and we also learn to be stronger than other "normal" people because they don't know anything. my boyfriend's friend's friend was making fun of me for being bipolar so he punched him and told him that i was way stronger than that douche could ever be.
and we can be whatever we want in life. i want to be a psychologist, so that is what i am going to be.
it just takes extra effort, but other people don't even fucking KNOW. whoever thinks this is funny is disgusting and ignorant.

i am bipolar, i am going to be successful, and i am overall a good person.
their loss if they don't see that. "

" It would make no difference if Oprah said she was Bipolar. There are many famous people who are Bipolar. I think people make fun of things they don't understand and are a little afraid of. People are very, very gradually becoming a little better educated about Bipolar. They still see us as "people who have mood swings and sometimes we lose our tempers over nothing," but it is getting a little better. People either see us as terrible freaks who will kill at the drop of a hat, or else they don't see how devastating the mood swings are. "
