Today my wedding dress came in and I went with my mom to try it on. I wore my aunt's fuzzie Life is Good socks - so she was with me when I put my dress on today. She is the one person I will miss most at my wedding....My fiance and I will put up my aunt's picture & her grandmother's picture up on a table to remind us of those who could not be with us on our wedding day.

Sounds like a wonderful way to remember your loved one's.

What a beautiful thing to do - placing their pictures, so they are remembered. And how strange that those socks say, "Life is Good". While we hear it often, it seems to take on a special message type of meaning for your wedding day. As much as it hurts for me to type this - life goes on. Wishing you happiness that exceeds your grief.

What a great way to pay tribute to your family you have lost. I know they will be at your wedding in your hearts and their spirit.
Happy wedding!

Very, Very nice idea. We had lost a family member not too long before my daughters wedding, my brother-in-law,her uncle. She had a candle at the service that was lit by his spouse. She had made it a part of her ceramony......Just a minute or two, before the actual service started so it didn't take away from the purpose for being there. Everyone there thought it was such a wonderful thing for her to do, a way to include him on the day of her wedding. My sister-in-law (widow) just thought it was one of the most caring things for her to do,and as I said ,it wasn't to be the highlite of the service, just a minute to honour him. It was touching for the close relatives but not overwelming.
Just wanted to tell you her way, and something she wanted to do. Congratulations on your upcoming day. Have a great life together. Wayne
