Can anyone recommend support specifically for siblings who have lost a sibling? My son was 20 when he died and his sister was 18. That was a year and a half ago. Thanks for your insights.

I am so sorry your son died. My brother died almost a year ago and it has definitely been the worst year of my life. I loved him so much. I am attending a free support group through hospice that is led by a trained counselor. I find that very helpful. I keep in touch with my mom and we grieve together all we can. I've read alot of books specifically about sibing grief. I post here and also joined siblinggrief.com and compassionatefriends.org who also have a sibling support group. One of the most helpful books I have found is Healing After Loss: Daily Meditations for Working Through Grief by Martha Whitmore Hickman. I am learning that the only way through grief is to feel the pain and I am most comforted when I am around other's who have lost loved ones and truly understand. The expression of feelings is very important. Counseling has helped me too.
I am so sorry for your daughter, you, and your family. It is tragic to lose someone so young. My thoughts are with you.
