" Yes I can give you a suggestion on a book that I believe is perhaps the best book written yet on grieving according to many.

Particularly because you are pretty much in control of how you wish to proceed and at the pace you wish to proceed in your grieving. It will probably teach others how not to be so overbearing, but rather, understanding, on those of us who have lost our loved ones and in the process of grieving.

The title is -"On Grief and Grieving: Finding the Meaning of Grief Through the Five Stages of Loss" and the Author's names are ~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and David Kessler.

I hope this helps. "

" I frequently suggest books. Many books cater to the specific loss, like a parent, child, spouse, or loss to suicide, etc. so I usually just suggest to hit the big book stores and look at a few.

Myself, I have read four since my Mom passed. The two that I found most helpful were:

"How to Go On Living When Someone You Love Dies", by Therese Rando, and

Understanding Your Grief: 10 Essential Touchstones......", by Alan Wolfelt. This dude has a web site too. Google him.

Both are on Amazon used for cheap.

By the way, many people go through the so called stages of grief but not everyone. And its not uncommon to jump around in those stages. So view it as just a rough guideline. "
