I am 37 years old i just got BP,about a week before i got it my left jaw right in front of my ear was hurting,the gland is swollen and everytime i would drink or eat anything i would get a sharp tingling pain that shoots to that area and i will get a metalic taste in my mouth..then about 5 days later i got BP and still its been over a week my jaw is still hurting and that gland is still swollen anyone else have this symptom,and any feedback or info on what it is please help.

your symptoms sound exactly like what i remember, except that i tasted cinnoman, atfirst when it happend i thought i was having an allergic reaction because my girlfriend had just bought 3 cinnomon brooms as air fresheners,:-) they were these big, ugly decorative brooms that she hung in the closets an bedroom. but ever since ive been diagnosed ive had the metalic taste in my mouth, almost like a mouthful of blood without the blood. personally i think its because along with the nerves in my face being paralyzed my taste buds are too.
