hi everyone. in june, i gave birth to my daughter and 3 days later, i developed bilateral bell's palsy. no medical treatments worked and i was tested for every disease possible untill the doctors declared it bilateral bell's palsy. i was out on maternity leave for 10 weeks, and now, i am out on disability. i am a teacher and though i i do have tremendous improvement (able to smile and keep my lips partially closed) i can't speak correctly, therefore, i'm on disability. i am going crazy staying home all day. i feel like i'm not stimulated like i was when i was teaching. anyone have suggestions-what jobs can i do with this condition? i have gone to play groups and gotten out of the house, but i really feel i not only need to make more money to contribute to the family, but i need to exercise my brain. help.....

" i really feel for you, i have it on one side and i work as a sales person so im having to smile at people all day long, and i have had only 1 rude person tell me to speak normally, but my boss has been amazing and says he will support anything i want or need even if it means palming off rude customers, however i do know how u feel, i just wanted to curl up and die when i woke up with this and my kids were weird around me, although now they are trying to find improvement in my face everyday,, which helps but as for a job that doesnt require going out or seeing people how about just doing correspondance course or doing an online job, im doing the course as well as working and im not finding much time to do it as im a mum of 3 with a husband and a job that is 4 days a week, so im also tired all the time so a onlline job would be perfect for me too but im not giving up yet its only been 8 days for me so i have hoope. good luck hun i hope to god it goes away soon for you :) take care "
