Grouchiness from Prednisone?

I'm getting surly, lack of patience at work with the clients (I'm a receptionist at a family law office, not a good place to be impatient). Been on the prednisone for a week now, down to the 1/day dosage. Maybe I'm just tired of all this, but it's definitely having an effect on me psychologically. I've started having strange dreams, too.
Just wondering if there's a connection. Posted on 03/25/08, 07:03 pm |

Im on the same meds as you are LeAnnw, im on 2 a day daily.
Im finding im a little spacey and not concerntrating as well at work or while reading. I have found myself becomming a little impatient also, but I think this is just out of frustration. Keep in touch.

Oh for sure. I've been on prednisone for years due to an organ transplant. When I got the Bells I was upped to 20 mg from 4. After a few days the short-temper showed up. Along with the hunger and also some feelings of being able to do a lot of things!
It's definatly a side effect I get from the prednisone along with other transplant patients that I know.

my gf says that since i took the prednisone ive changes completely, and i agree , but its been almost a year since i stopped the med. what im wondering is if the temper and irritability is a side effect of the med or if im just being an arse. has anyone else seen a change in themself since the med and have no other reason to be a grump ?
