I am a 27 yr old male and i just spent time in a psychiatric clinic for a week. I meet with my psychiatrist who prescribed me heavy medications for my problems. At night i have no bladder control however. I cannot discontinue the meds because they are essential to my sanity. As a result I have to wear diapers to bed.
I have no problem with embarrassment with my wife, but have decided to let those close to me in my family know of my problems. My question is that is it really beneficial for me to have this self confidence? Or did i set myself up for possible humiliation? I feel however like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and empowered. Any advice or disclaimers. Thank you for letting me tell you this. Posted on 11/05/09, 10:11 pm |

There is no reason to tell others all of the side effects of your medications. You can keep it between you and your wife unless another has a need to know.

well to clear things up a little bit, I don't disclose my medications and what they are for. I have been letting others know that I do need diapers at night. I do this because we travel and may stay with them and I dont want this to be some embarrassing secret that I have to hide from everybody. I feel more confident when others close to me know.
