Advice:
Looking for Waterproof Sheet Protector

Hello guys,

I'm glad I joined this group.

My MS has brought me the bedwetting challenge. Typically I get up 5 times during the night to pee, but occasionally i do it in bed. the mattress has been repeatedly harmed and now I want to do something about it. I checked US pharmacy websites and found that they are way better then Canadian. I can't find anything on Shoppers or Pharma Plus websites that relates to Waterproof Sheet Protector. As such it looks like I have to start a more thorough investigation.

Could anybody help?

Thanks.

Zhenya

" Not sure exactly what type of sheet you're looking for (there are different types of protective sheets available), but try http://www.bedwettingstore.com . They have lots of supplies from protective sheets to alarms to undergarments to everything else you could imagine needing to help deal with bedwetting.

Good luck! "

" Even though I wear thick cloth diapers and plastic pants every night for my bedwetting problem I still use a waterproof sheet on my bed. They are very inexpensive and you can get them at Sears, Target, K Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond or just about any store that sells mattress pads. In this section they have "waterproof" mattress pads for every size bed. You can now buy ones that do not crackle when you lay down on them.

Good Luck "

" Thank you guys. Now my goal is to find a way to have a peaceful night w/o getting up to pee 4-5 times during a night. I did not have accidents for a while and aiming for the sleepy stars now :o) "

" ZhenyR,
If you are getting up that many times each night, you cannot be having restful sleep. If you persist, sooner or later disaster could strike, say, if you would fall asleep while driving or doing something else that sleep-deprivation could threaten. A good night's sleep is not a luxure; it is a necessity, so, please, do whatever you need to do to make it possible. If that includes heavy nighttime protection, use it. Good luck. "

" Thank you Paxton. It did strike about 8 years ago in a form of MS. Getting up at night is just one of its manifestations. Peeing in bed is not my favourite solution and I'm looking for other. "

" Zhenya,
When this first struck, I was paranoid, getting myself up so often each night that, in a few weeks, I became a sleep-deprived zombie. For me, liking or disliking diapers is not the issue; getting good, uninterrupted sleep is. Diapers give me that; without them I would be afraid to fall into deep sleep. Good luck finding what works for you. "
