" It is prescribed to me, 800 mg. 4 times a day.
I dont take it because it simply does nothing for me.
I dont feel it, its like I didn't even take anything.
Its supposed to be a muscle relaxer, but it doesn't relax my muscles. "

" It does help me, but doesn't knock me out. It's so expensive (for me) though that I don't use it now since my surgery was successful. "

" Skelaxin is a muscle relaxer not a pain medication, so if you need a muscle relaxer it might work for you. "

" A little more info:

I'm assuming you mean Medrol. Medrol is a corticosteroid kind of like prednisone. And Mobic is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug in the same group as Advil, Aleve, etc. but is a prescription drug.

Medrol can help with inflammation but can make you hungry and cause fluid retention, plus some other annoying stuff. Works good short term (a week or so). Beyond that the side effects increase. "

" I was prescribed it, still have tons of bottles leftover. It did not help me. I tried flexeril before, and it help a bit. The Mobic is good for arthritis, but it doesn't always help everyone. You have to kinda try out different meds and see what works the best for you. After 9 yrs. i've ended up on, Suboxone, and I take Naproxen sometimes. I try not to take too much of anything cause I have Hep C. "
