I have a grabber and it is so useful I have purchased two more.

I had purchased one of those prior to my hip replacement last year...it has been a huge help to me in many ways!! I also would recommend
everyone with spinal/hip problems get one.
They can be purchased in medical supply stores, I paid less there than the price was on e-bay but it does pay to check around.
I now have 3, one in the kitchen, living room and bedroom.
The one I was given with the "hip kit" when my hip was replaced was
worthless:(:( I was ever so glad I already had this one!!!

I would only suggest not using it to retrieve things from above your head..
they aren't quite strong enough for that and could result in an nasty
accident....yes, I'm guilty of that, tried to get a box of cereal off a top cabinet shelf only to have it slip out of the grabber and land on the counter....could have been worse though:0

Wow, I was just telling my bf how much easier it would be for me if I had one of those. :-)

I also have one & it Is wonderful. Wanted to add that people can Also get this at walgreens, cvs, & most Dme ( durable medical stores) if you can get your Dr to write a Rx for it insurance will usually pick up some of the cost at the Dme stores. Hope you have a happy day. Hugs & God Bless Lisa :)

I got one of these valuable things when I finished with the rehab facility where I stayed for 3 weeks following a recent hip fracture. It's amazingly useful and I decided to buy another to leave in the living room since I spend most of my recovery time there or the bedroom.

I'm one month post op from a right hip fracture, which was pined for repair and just getting into the tough bart of exercising. after that, using the reacher is most helpful!

wow a lot of relies here on this topic. I'm so glad that this mechanism has helped others as it does for me =) Right now I'm sitting in my clean bedroom thanks to this handy little buddy I have . I love my grabber
