" There was a program on television a while back called "Sit and Be Fit" or something like that. I think it was on PBS in Chicago. I was a little more active then and didn’t need it so I don’t remember the details. However I really need it now because I have the same problem with walking and other exercises. I also have to get another doctor because the one I had was not good for my back.

Anyway, if I find out about that program I will let you know. If anyone here knows about that program please let us know. "

" Start with what you can tollerate and build from there. Sometimes it's just a stretch here and there to get your body used to the movements. If you can't walk for 10 minutes try 5, if not 5, try 3. I had to start small and work my way up. Yes, it's painful but doing nothing gets you the same results ... pain. Your body needs to stretch otherwise you'll get pain from only sitting or laying. I'm not saying it's easy, but if you don't you will gain weight and then you've added pounds to your frame that your back will have to support. If you want to talk, I'm here. :) "

" The best and easiest on my body was aqua therapy. I started with just treading water then graduated to swimming laps with snorkle because of pain using overhead motion. "

" You might try an exercise bike. It has helped me to keep my body in motion. Without too much pain. I agree aqua therapy is the best maybe the YMCA in your area has a therapeutic pool? "
