Can bruising occur?

I have buldging and herniated discs and other problems.

My job requires me to move racks full of clothes, tables and carts full of clothing. We are having company from district tomorrow so the last 2 days have been very hard on me. I have not been able to sleep because of pain. When I got home tonight I called my daughter and asked her to come give me a massage. When she arrived and started the massage she asked my why I have burses up and down my spine. I didn't know that I had brusises and went to get mirror so I could use it to look at my back in oanother mirrow. Sure enough I had bruises up and down my spine. Would the moving and lifting cause my spine to bruise? I have had bruising before but it was when I fell.in Dec. Has anyone else had such a problem. Am I doing more damage to by back?

" I am no Doctor, but all of the pushing, moving, etc. heavy carts and tables full of clothes are NOT good for your back! Maybe you need your Doctor to write a note for you for work, stating what your limitations are in; pushing, pulling, weight, standing up, sitting down, etc.... It will help your back, and it will protect you from more spinal damage at work!

You only have one spine, and you need to take care of it. No job is good enough to get spinal damage...... think about that. "
