" Did you signed a medication contract with these Doctor? If you did, then that is why they dismissed you, medication contract's clearly state that you can not take more medication that what have been prescribed and that you are not to go to another Doctor, ER, etc. to get more medications, and that you need to submit yourself to drug testing from time to time.

If you didn't have a contract, then it was the call of the PA and they should have listened to you and given you different medications, or increase the medications to make you feel better and avoid what is happening right now, so it really is not your fault, they should have listened to you!

You say that this Doctor is a pain specialist, if he is, can you talk to him directly instead of seeing his PA? Can you find another Pain Management Doctor in your area? Another thing...... if they dismissed you, they are supposed to give you at least 39 days worth of medications so you are not without pain medications while you find another pain management specialist, if you call his office and they decline to do that, let them know that you are going to reported them to the Board's for "medical abandonment" and fight for your rights. I hope that you can get a new Doctor soon, or that this mess with this Doc can be resolved succesfuly.

Good luck to you, "

" I will say to go to their office personally and asked them for your 30 day script and the copy of all of your records (you have a right to them!), so you can move on and find another Pain Management Doctor. If they don't do that, report them. "

" It's hard to find a PA worth their salt. I have run into too many jaded arrogant, "Dr. wannabes" who couldn't cut med school. Medicine requires knowledge, creativity, communication, tailoring treatment to the patient. There is no cookbook recipe. I have had to let my doc know that I want to see him rather than his PA. I don't want to see someone who was hired to juggle a schedule and maintain status quo. I have my doubts that the physician gets a complete and accurate report of visits.

It's not that difficult to get in trouble with a Pain Practice. I fired my first one, and threatened legal action for malpractice. Fortunately I didn't find it troublesome to find a new doc, and he was even in the same group. Maybe I'm just lucky.-------Snake "
