Today I had an epidural injection for pain in back and pelvic. I am in more now than ever. I called my PM dr but they are closed. I took a 15 mg morphine about 5 hours ago. I want to take a loratab but wondering should I wait until tomorrow. I can take another morphine pill at 10:00. Thank you!

did they do it with a xray? the only thing i can think of is if the did a dry shot which is what they call it when they dont get the med. in the right place. it can cause alot of pain, i would wait and take the morphine, you do not want to get sick combining the two. morphine is better than loritab. if you keep hurting bad you might want to make a run to the er. i sure hope you feel better

Sometimes injections don't work and after having injections in the back does make the back more sore than normal.
Let your pm doctor know and work out some other pain management treatment.

I had pain and discomfort after my injections last week. But it only lasted for a day. Then I felt better, and two days later I was back to square one again. My injections were into the facet joints in my spine. Hope you feel better soon.

They did use an xray. This was my second injection in two months. The first did not work so he added more medicine and he did a diagnostic to pin point what is causing the pelvic pain. It hurt so much my teeth started to chattered while I layed on the table. I think he aggravated something. He said he think it is a disc causing the pain.
Before I went to the PM dr I had a MRI done and the spine dr said nothing was wrong with my spine. Thanks for al the replies! I called my dr this morning.
