I strongly suggest a neurosurgeon when it comes to the back. An orthopedic Dr. is not good enough if nerves are involved. If a nerve in your back is being pinched by a problem with a disc, then you must see a neurosurgeon. I have had two back surgeries, and both were done this way. I would not go to an ortho guy....as he is more of a bone Dr.

My vote is to see a spinal surgeon. They are a ortho doc who has additional training of 2 to 5 years in spinal surgery.
Good luck and I pray that your pain can be easily resolved.
