Are we prepared for a pandemic?

Are we prepared for a pandemic flu virus such as avian flu? Of course not. Did you see how fast the regular flu viruses spread this season? Because of the flu shots containing the wrong stuff, the flu was even more rampant than normal. Here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we had thousands and thousands ill with the flu. Even whole business offices were sick and had to be shut down. If people would just wash their hands and cough/sneeze properly, many illnesses could be prevented. Do you think the avian flu will spread just as fast as we saw the regular flu viruses spread? I definitely think so and it really bothers me to imagine it. Thoughts anyone?
