Sean's Off all meds!!!!

Well, Sean is officially off all meds now. We had him on Risperdal and Prozac and although they did wonders for him when he was first on them they actually turned on him. He was diagnosed with Akithasia... which is a weird thing... can make you sick. Sean told me his head felt sick. Poor little man. He seems so much better now that he is off the meds. He is talking more, playing with his toys now and hanging out with us, his family.
Just wanted to tell you to be careful with the Risperdal and Prozac... Although these are good meds for some... they were not so good for Sean in the end. Hugs Denise Posted on 11/08/09, 10:11 pm |

I'm glad to hear he's doing better =) I'm really afraid to try meds for Jonathan.
It's great that he's talking more and playing! I hope things continue to get better for him, and for you as well =) I was on Risperdal for post-partum depression (the doctor gave it to me for my sleeping problems) and yes, it does do weird things to your head. I'm glad you got it figured out =)
